Review published on October 20, 2016.
Set in an alternative North America, ravaged by a recent civil war, this novel is a vision of a country divided, where illness is carried on the wind. It is the story of two brothers on the run from blood thirsty law enforcers who encounter Vida, a woman with secrets, on a quest to find a cure. Brutal and bleak, the narrative carries the reader through the post-apocalyptic landscape. With believable characters, it is a story realistic and terrifying.
