Vicious Circle by C.J. Box

Review published on May 16, 2017.

“One man hell bent on avenging his family, the other dead set on protecting his.”

I selected this book as I have previously read a couple of C.J. Box’s stand-alone novels, although I have not read any of the Joe Pickett novels. There was no need to worry about having to know any of the back ground about Joe Pickett though as this book stood on its own and any previous background story that you might of needed was provided as the story went along.

The book is set in Wyoming and is very American, with lots of references to hunting and the hunting laws and hunting community, which does not detract from the story.

The story is very thrilling and fast paced. It is a terrific read and a novel that you cannot put down.

It involves revenge, murder and a hunt across the countryside. There is double crossing that, as expected, does not turn out well.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good fast-paced thriller, although the plot takes turns and twists it is not confusing and you always know who all the characters are and their part in the story.

I would definitely read other books by this author.
