It was the title Cousins that drew me to this book due to my being one of a group of very close cousins since childhood. Not that we had any similarity with the relationship between the two cousins featured in the book! It was an enjoyable if a little confusing read, dodging between times, places and offshoots of the family involved. I did enjoy it, but I found the writing unnecessarily complex overall, which might make me think twice before reading another of Salley Vickers’ books.
