Journey to Death by Leigh Russell

Review published on June 16, 2016.

The story follows Lucy Hall who along with her parents travel to the Seychelles. Lucy is nursing a broken heart and is hoping the holiday will help to mend it. The family stay at the Garden of Eden Hotel where 30 years previously Lucy’s father George had worked as the hotel’s accountant. George had been forced to leave the Island in 1977 due to a political uprising. George’s past comes back to haunt him and things take a bad turn. Lucy thinks someone is trying to hurt her and then George’s wife goes missing.

This is a great story which pulls you right in. I was walking along side them on the beach or lying out on a Sun lounger rather than lying out in the garden. This is a very promising start to what looks to be a great cosy mystery series. I really like the character of Lucy and feel she has great potential and I look forward to reading more about her and hopefully Adrian.

This book would be a great holiday mood for either the beach or the flight to get you in the mood. Look forward to reading more by this author.
