It’s the first day of Angus Thoroughgood’s career as Z325 Constable Thoroughgood and things are not going well. He finds out that his colleagues are all veterans of the Northern Ireland Troubles and they are out to make his life as unpleasant and difficult as possible. Two gangland bosses get into a violent and bloody war over drugs, which are being distributed via their ice-cream vans, resulting in deaths on both sides. There are plenty of twists and turns, as well as a love interest for Angus, which make this an interesting and gritty read.
